tomorrow...

SCANDAL RETURNS! I can't write down how excited I am to be back with Olivia Pope & Associates. Over winter break, my mom and I binged watched every single episode again. It was absolutely wonderful. I had forgotten about Edison, Huck's crazy girlfriend, and how strange Quinn can be. That being said, here are some things to occupy your time until tomorrow night... when you can be a gladiator again!
  • which Scandal character are you?
  • having a watch party? here's a fun Scandal drinking game
  • do you love Olivia's wine glasses? you can buy them here
  • here's the official sneak peek, I plan on watching it at least 50 times before tomorrow
  • there's an entire pinterest page decided to Scandal's fashion.. need I say more?

Eek! I can't wait. Here's my favorite outfit Olivia ever wore... such a gorgeous Jean Fares gown.

  • do you love adorable cakes & sweets? you'll die checking out this new bakery in fort worth.
  • this little shop has the CUTEST paper goods, I drool over them daily.
  • freshmen year, my friend and I checked this every day. you won't be disappointed with today's feature...Ridley's precious.

I hope everyone has a fabulous Monday!

you're making me blush

Friends, I can't tell you how happy I am that BLUSH is the color for spring. It has been my favorite color for the longest time, I absolutely love it. Everyone is always saying, "I can't pull that off" or "it washes me out"... you're wrong! There are so many wonderful and stylish ways to rock the color. Here are some of my favorites...

this sparkly blush necklace is only $24 via the daily look

need a boost?

Lately, I've been feeling so tired and drained. I needed more than my usual Starbs boost. Thanks to my sweet bestie, Ashtin I came across these Instant Energy Boosters. YAY! Here are 10 fabulous and fun energy boosters...

1. tackle a dreary day with a burst of color
buy a colorful bathrobe or bright toothbrush, the bright color will spike your adrenaline. my favorite is Pantone's color of the year radiant orchid.
2. dab on a jasmine-infused fragrance
jasmine makes you more awake and alert.
3. sit up straight
poor posture can put tension on the spine, mother knows best on this one.
4. rise & seek sunshine
light is a natural energizer.
5. beware of energy vampires
after talking to someone, do you ever feel drained? that person is an energy vampire.
6. show your hands some love
take a golf ball and roll it in-between your hand and your desk, this sensitive spot will perk you right up.
7. pull your hair
no, really. gently tugging your hair creates blood flow to the head, releasing tension.
8. turn your world upside down
kick up into a handstand against the wall or bend over and touch your toes. inversions are awesome for blood flow.
9. embrace the three-minute meditation
hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
10. write a thank-you note
this is my personal favorite. it's hard to feel stressed and grateful at the same time, so write a little thank-you to your bestie.

Let's make it an energizing Tuesday!

five things I'm loving right now...

The semester is underway, it's been great so far! I had my first day at my internship, attended my classes, and tried a new hot yoga studio in Norman. Here are five things I'm loving right now...

1. my new russell+hazel planner from the container store. I love it because I was able to create a planner that meets my needs. I chose the gold planner with striped rubber bands...

2. these sony headphones are only $20 and they work so well! I only use headphones for studying and netflix watching, so I didn't want to spend too much. These are perfect and come in a variety of colors.

I chose white, so sleek. image via sony

3. nars' gentle cream cleanser is perfect for sensitive skin, which is always a problem in my life. It's a little pricy, but a little bit goes a long way.

4. Frozen's soundtrack. If you haven't seen the newest Disney movie, Frozen... you're missing out big time. It's absolutely adorable and the music is fantastic. It's available on Spotify and iTunes.

5. gap's neon sports socks. They are so cute and comfy! I bought purple, turquoise, and coral during gap's christmas sale.

the perfect break

It's been a while since I've posted...but it's good to be back! I decided to take a little break from blogging and the social media world. I had a list of things that I wanted to blog about, but instead I opted to spend quality time with friends and family. It's been the perfect break! Here's a little wrap up of my month at home...

my sweet friends and I took pictures together...

made a trip to ikea, the best place on earth.

hung out with my sweet girl, O.

participated in trampoline aerobics...hardest work out ever!

tried chicken & waffles for the first time...delicious.

It was the most relaxing break, but I'm excited to head back to school for the spring semester. I have so much to look forward to...my internship, weddings, and time with sweet friends. Also, blogging will resume at a regular schedule. I hope everyone is having a beautiful Saturday.
